A Philadelphia bar has been recognized for serving one of the best cheesy dishes in the country.
The Huffington Post put together a list of the top 10 places for mac and cheese in America. Among the eateries are locations in Atlanta, Portland, and Memphis.
Also included is a Center City bar with a canine theme. According to the Post, Good Dog Bar on South 15th Street has one of the finest versions of the meal in the country:
Under walls adorned with dog portraits, discerning Philly diners tear apart upscale takes on traditional comfort food like duck confit pot pie, and the high/low balancing act carries over into an entree-sized dish of mac & cheese that hides Gruyere, Gouda, and white cheddar under a bed of perfectly crispy corn flakes. They don't serve it for breakfast -- but they should.
The bar's mac and cheese isn't the only reason to stop by. They've got a great craft beer selection and a diverse menu as well.
Plus, they've got plenty of dog pictures, of course.
