Philly delivery service making it easier to drink your way through Flyers games

After a strong start to the NHL regular season, the Philadelphia Flyers' midseason swoon has left fans a bit dismayed. The team's new partnership with a local delivery service tries to make watching the games a little easier.

On Wednesday, on-demand delivery service goPuff announced a new collaboration with the Flyers to provide food, drinks and party supplies to the team's fans on game days. The exclusive deal includes beer and other local favorites.

The new Flyers Gameday On-Demand category is available from pre- to post-game during both home and road contests. Users in the region can access the offer via the company's mobile app and website to order snacks and other household items. The goods are guaranteed to be delivered within 30 minutes.

Options include Yards Beer, Lay’s potato chips and Ben & Jerry’s ice cream, the company said.

"[W]e’re helping consumers eliminate the traditional beer run, by offering the most convenient way for Flyers fans to get snacks, beer, and other game day essentials without having to ever leave their couch,” said Dan Folkman, vice president of business development.

The deal will be available for the remainder of the season and promoted by the Flyers.

The Philly-based company was founded in 2013 by former Drexel University roommates Yakir Gola and Rafael Ilishayev. It currently operates in 15 U.S. cities but is open around the clock only in Philly.
