The National Weather Service has issued severe weather advisories for Philadelphia on Wednesday evening.
A Severe Thunderstorm Warning is in effect until 6:30 p.m. in Philadelphia and surrounding counties, with the potential for damaging winds, dangerous cloud to ground lightning and heavy rain.
A Severe Thunderstorm Watch will remain in effect until 7:00 p.m.
