Temple University has cracked the top 25 rankings of colleges for graduation rates among student-athletes.

The school announced Tuesday it had posted a record rate for the 7th consecutive year with an 88 percent Graduation Success Rate, making Temple tied for 24th among Football Bowl Subdivision schools.

"Winning on the playing field is important, but success in the classroom and the earning of degrees lasts a lifetime," Temple Athletic Director Dr. Patrick Kraft said in a statement.

Six teams sported perfect 100 GSR rates: Men's Golf, Men's Soccer, Women's Fencing, Women's Lacrosse, Men's Tennis, and Women's Tennis.

Football was among seven teams to post all-time high GSR rates, with 86 percent of players graduating or set to graduate this December.

The NCAA's GSR measures how many student-athletes at a school graduate within six years of enrolling.
