In the last weeks of January, more than 100 communities across the country shared stories and thoughts on the state of the nation by uploading them to an online portal. The stories were weaved together by a group of poets to create "The Poetic Address to the Nation," a play on the annual presidential State of the Union address.

The poem will be performed live at the Painted Bride Art Center on Feb. 20.

Doors will open at 6 p.m., featuring a bazaar to shop through, before the 7:30 poetry reading by a group of emerging poets.

For those who cannot attend this event, the poem will also be live-streamed on PhillyCAM.
