The Gold Standard Café welcomes attendees during the Baltimore Dollar Stroll.

Each summer the businesses along West Philly's Baltimore Avenue get out on the street for a special night of deals. Thursday, June 25 local businesses will line up on the sidewalks between 43rd and 51st streets for the Baltimore Avenue Dollar Stroll, giving out treats of all kinds for just $1.

Green Line Cafe will be serving up hot dogs, carrot dogs and espresso shots; Milk + Honey will sell Bassetts ice cream sandwiches; Queen of Sheba will have Pabst Blue Ribbon cans; Desi Village will have samosas, mango lassis and vegetable pakora; Dock Street will serve 7 oz. beers and Little Baby's Ice Cream will scoop mini ice creams. Plus, mobile food vendors The Whirly Pig, Jimmie’s Cupcakes, Milk+Sugar, Chewy’s, and Samosa Deb will have $1 offerings, too.

It's not all about the food and beverages, though. Curio Theatre Company will sell preview tickets to its shows, Redcap's Corner will have game supplies for sale, Greensgrow West will sell plant starts and Firehouse Bicycles will have patch kits. Again, it's all just $1.

There are plenty more food, drink and shopping deals going down during the Stroll, rain or shine. But there's also live entertainment (think jugglers, face painters and Polynesian dancers) and live music. Plus, the neighborhood's three parklets at 4239 Baltimore Avenue, 810 S. 47th Street (Fu-Way Market), and 4903 Catharine Street will be open.
