Body discovered by fishermen in Camden County creek

A body was discovered washed up on the shore of Newton Creek in Oaklyn, Camden County, Tuesday afternoon, authorities say.

According to Camden County Prosecutors, police responded to a call to the creek near the White Horse Pike around 4:45 p.m.

The body of a black male, believed to be in his 30's, had been found by two fishermen and was pulled out of the water by firefighters at the scene.

Detectives are working to ID the man and an autopsy will be conducted Wednesday to determine his cause of death.
