Montgomery County Community College officials ordered the evacuation of the school's West Campus in Pottstown at just before noon Thursday after receiving a bomb threat.
The threat specifically targeted MCCC's South Hall, according to information posted to the college's Twitter page. Law enforcement searched the building, but no explosives were found, a school official announced at 3 p.m.
Regular classes and campus activities resumed at 4 p.m.
South Hall is described as MCCC's largest classroom building on West Campus and is the location of the school's health careers programs, science and computer labs, library, learning assistance lab, the campus store and various administrative offices, the college's website states.
Earlier Thursday morning, bomb-sniffing dogs were deployed as part of an investigation into a bomb threat made at Bucks County Community College's library and Gateway Center.
Shortly after noon, Bucks County officials tweeted that the dogs had found no explosives and the areas had been determined to be secure. The buildings reopened at 1 p.m. for students and visitors.
The Gateway Center is located on BCCC's Newtown Campus and houses the college's performing arts center, computer and science labs, business and industry training rooms and other facilities.
