The Mutter Museum beer garden may be sold out but there's another way to drink in the museum's Benjamin Rush Medicinal Garden. A botanical drawing class and cocktail workshop will be held on Thursday, June 9.

Art instructor Meredith Sellers and herbalist Ryen Eggleston will lead the event, beginning with a short discussion on the folklore and historical use of medicinal plants.

Afterward, techniques of scientific botanical drawing will be shared and attendees will be taken into the garden to begin sketching. Drawing supplies will not be provided, so bring everything needed.

After getting to know the plants up-close, class participants will mix cocktails using herbs from the garden as ingredients.

Tickets are required since only a limited number of seats are available. All attendees must be 21-plus to join in this Mutter Museum event.
