On Monday, Vanity Fair unveiled the image that everyone has been waiting for: a first look at what appears to be a fully transitioned Bruce Jenner.

According to the magazine's July 2015 cover story, Bruce Jenner has been renamed "Caitlyn Jenner." In the story, written by Buzz Bissinger ("Friday Night Lights," "A Prayer to the City"), Jenner opens up about her journey to becoming a woman. Essentially, the article will include all of the details we haven't already heard through the Diane Sawyer interview in April or the "About Bruce" two-parter of "Keeping Up with the Kardashians" that aired in May.

“If I was lying on my deathbed and I had kept this secret and never ever did anything about it," Jenner told Vanity Fair, "I would be lying there saying, ‘You just blew your entire life.’ ”

Rumors have been abuzz in recent weeks that Jenner has completed reassignment surgery. Whether the photo above, shot by Annie Leibovitz (who else?), was taken before or after the reported surgery is unknown.
