An observation deck that would bring visitors 300 feet into the air for a pristine view of Camden and Philadelphia’s skyline may not be progressing on time.

The Skyview Tower, which was supposed to be completed on Camden’s waterfront sometime in 2015, now does not have a concrete opening date, according to Philadelphia Business Journal.

The newspaper quoted a spokesperson for the project as saying:

“At this time, the Skyview Tower remains in the development stage. Additional planning and engineering work are necessary,” said Corrinne Kluge, a spokeswoman with Adventure Aquarium, whose parent company originally announced the project.

The project was planned for a spot near the aquarium and at the time of its 2013 announcement, Camden Mayor Dana Redd said the tower would help the city become a tourist destination, according to nj.com.
