Chestnut Hill to host Sugar Plum Saturday with holiday activities

The day begins with a parade

This holiday season, Chestnut Hill will host Sugar Plum Saturday. On Dec. 10, all are invited to Germantown Avenue for a full day of family-friendly activities. To start off the festive daylong event, there will be a neighborhood parade.

Holiday Parade

The 2016 holiday parade will feature firetrucks, the Phillie Phanatic, marching bands, school choirs, Santa, antique cars and horses.

Create a Pinecone Bird Feeder

This arts & crafts activity will get the entire family involved. Keep it for yourself or give it as a gift once complete.

Storytime with Mr. Scrooge

Ebenezer Scrooge no longer says "Bah! Humbug!" to Christmas fun. Instead, he's ready to embrace the holidays with festive storytelling.

Gingerbread Workshop

Bredenbeck's Bakery will host a gingerbread workshop at two different times during the festival. The fee to join in the holiday treat-making is $45 and includes the 6-inch gingerbread house and candy decorations. The bakery also offers the workshop on various other dates during the holiday season.
