While you're scanning the evening sky for Santa's sleigh, notice the full moon.
According to Discovery.com, NASA has confirmed that there will be a full moon on Christmas Day this year for the first time in 38 years.
The last time a full moon filled the sky on Christmas Day was in 1977, and another one isn't expected until 2034.
The Dec. 25 full moon - also called a cold moon - will peak at around 6:11 a.m. ET, Discovery.com reports.
