Drink liter beers at the eighth annual South Street Oktoberfest

The day will feature traditional beer, music, dance

On Sept. 17, the eighth annual South Street Oktoberfest will begin at noon, outside the restaurant Brauhaus Schmitz. A tent will be set up for attendees to eat and drink German food and beer, no matter the weather.

Either opt to pay-as-you-go through the festival or pre-purchase a VIP package that includes perks like private bathrooms, a Bavarian buffet and six beer tickets.

There will be 10 German beers on tap, and all beer drinkers can grab a cold pour in glassware straight from Germany.

Besides all the food and drink, there will be traditional dance performances, Oom-pah music, flower crowns, face painting and a competition with a $500 prize.
