For two nights this summer, there will be a drive-in movie in Camden.

The drive-in will be part of a string of events held during the summer to provide entertainment in the city, according to the Facebook page of the organizing campaign called Connect the Lots.

Camden was the first city in the country to get a drive-in back in 1933. Mayor Dana Redd said she remembered going to drive-in movies growing up.

“I remember going to the drive-in theater on Mouth Ephraim in the '70s with my parents,” Redd said, according to NJ.com. “Believe it or not, I think it was to go see 'Jaws.' ”

The waterfront screenings will be held Fridays, July 17 and August 21.

There will be other events this summer including concerts and an arts festival.
