Eagles-Lions inactives, with analysis: Jason Kelce and Jason Peters will start

Jason Kelce would be the first to admit he's not having his best season, but the reality is that the Eagles badly need him.

DETROIT -- The Philadelphia Eagles released their inactives against the Detroit Lions, and the biggest news is that Jason Kelce and Jason Peters are active. Earlier today, it was reported that Mark Sanchez will start at quarterback. Here is the full list of Eagles and Lions inactives:

Eagles inactives

• QB Sam Bradford: As expected, Sam Bradford will not start against the Lions. Sanchise time again.

RB Ryan Mathews: Ryan Mathews is running for 6.1 yards per carry, and has been the one pleasant surprise on this offense this season. He'll be out for the second straight week with a concussion. DeMarco Murray should see the bulk of the carries.

• TE Zach Ertz: Ertz is out with a concussion. Trey Burton should get additional snaps in his place.

• DE Brandon Bair: Bair has been more productive than Taylor Hart when he has gotten his opportunities, but Hart remains active in favor of Bair.

• CB Denzel Rice: With a healthy secondary, Rice returns to the inactive list.

• OL Tanner Hawkinson: Another recent addition after the Eagles suffered some injuries along their OL.

• WR Jonathan Krause: The Eagles are doomed.

Lions inactives

The Lions inactives are DT Gabe Wright, S Isaiah Johnson, TE Tim Wright, DT Jermelle Cudjo, WR TJ Jones, OT Corey Robinson, and OT LaAdrian Waddle. (h/t Pride of Detroit). Nothing overly noteworthy there.
