According to Canadian-based Bovada.lv, the Eagles are the seventh-most likely team to win the Super Bowl in 2015, behind the Seahawks, Patriots, Packers, Broncos, Cowboys and Colts. What do all five of those teams have in common? They all have quarterbacks who finished in the top 10 in QB rating in 2014.

To get anywhere near those teams, the Eagles are going to need better quarterback play than what they got last season. Here are the odds for the entire league:

  1. Bad buys: Cowboys, 49ers, Steelers.
  2. Good buys: Packers, Colts, Lions, Chargers, Bills.
  3. Best buy: I like the Colts, mainly because they have virtually no competition whatsoever in the AFC South. Over the last two seasons, the combined record of the Texans, Jaguars and Titans is 27-69 (.281). Their combined point differential over the last two years is -655. Penciling in the Colts as a division winner (assuming Andrew Luck stays healthy) is a great start. 14/1 is a really good buy.
  4. NFC East: Vegas, er, Canada thinks the Cowboys are likely to repeat as NFC East champs. Six division winners in 2013 repeated as division winners in 2014. However, the NFC East hasn't had a repeat champion since the Eagles won the division in 2003 and 2004.

NFC East parity!
