Eagles trade rumor: A player and a fourth round pick for Sam Bradford?

Hey Elway, you happen to catch Sam Bradford's final seven games last year?

Appearing on 97.5 the Fanatic Wednesday morning, Adam Schefter of ESPN speculated that the compensation for Sam Bradford could be "a four and a player." The Eagles' trade partner would be the Denver Broncos in this scenario.

Host Anthony Gargano brought up the Chiefs' trade for two second round picks in 2013 as a benchmark, to which Schefter replied, "They're not getting two 2's for Bradford." After audibly furrowing his brow, Schefter then suggested, "How about a four and a player?"

Scanning the Broncos' roster, one player the Eagles formerly had interest in leading up to the 2014 NFL Draft was CB Bradley Roby, who was drafted 31st overall, five spots after Marcus Smith. According to a source way back when, the Eagles liked Roby quite a bit. I was told he was the Eagles' second-highest rated corner in that draft, in terms of ability. After the Eagles moved back to pick 26, I personally expected him to be the selection.

The Inquirer's Jeff McLane and 97.5's Geoff Mosher apparently heard similar things.

Another player Howie Roseman liked, according to a source, was WR Cody Latimer. The Eagles sent several coaches to work out Latimer at Indiana prior to the 2014 draft. In two seasons, Latimer has eight career catches for 82 yards, and one TD.

The Bradford trade chatter is ramping up.
