Facebook finds Mets aren't favorite MLB team in any U.S. county

As expected, the Phillies have a small stronghold in the Delaware Valley

Unlike the Mets, Phillies fans have ownership over their home base.

Facebook rounded up all of their "likes" of Major League Baseball's 30 franchises and decided to do a breakdown of which team was the most popular in each county. It's just like election night, except Karl Rove isn't arguing over anything. The exercise confirmed that the New York Mets are little brother in the country's largest city, as the New York Yankees are still the most popular team in Brooklyn, Queens, and all of Long Island. Take solace, Mets fans. This doesn't mean you won't have the opportunity to infiltrate South Philadelphia this summer to watch your team beat down the Phillies like it's 1999. And you still have Matt Harvey (or as Mike Francesa would say, "Hovvey").

As for the Phils, the results are pretty much what you would imagine from a passionate yet very localized sports town. They have ownership over Southeastern Pennsylvania, South Jersey, Northern Delaware, and much of Central Pennsylvania until it turns into Pirates country (though the O's and Yanks make serious inroads in the southern and northern sections of the commonwealth, respectively).

The Washington Nationals don't own as much real estate as the Phillies either, which will be the only manner in which they'll defeat their division rivals this season. The Nats don't have to worry about "Taking Back the Park" this year.
