Fantasy football injuries: A light week (finally), updates on Mike Williams, Deebo Samuel and more

Also, will QBs Derek Carr and Jimmy Garoppolo miss any time?

With Aaron Jones, Saquon Barkley, Austin Ekeler and other big names in fantasy out for Week 3, it was a bit of a grind for fantasy owners.

The injury list from Week 3 games (so far) isn't as troubling as last week's, but it is still worth getting up to date on as it appears there will be a bevy of borderline fantasy-relevant players on it heading into next week's action.

Here's the latest on some fantasy stars:

Deebo Samuel, WR, 49ers

Samuel hurt his rib area against the Giants back on Thursday but reports from San Francisco say it's not a serious injury. We'll have to wait a few days to see if he can play right away after a long week this coming Sunday.

Mike Williams, WR, Chargers

Williams had a monster game before sustaining a potentially serious knee injury in Week 3. He was carted off the field and left wearing a brace. He'll get an MRI and there will be more information as the week progresses.

Jimmy Garoppolo, QB, Raiders

Though he completed the game Sunday night, Las Vegas' QB1 is in the concussion protocol and his status going forward is worth monitoring.

Derek Carr, QB, Saints

Another middle-of-the-road quarterback could miss some time, as Carr looks to have an AC sprain in his shoulder. While the ailment is not thought to be serious, it could cost him a game or two.

Gus Edwards, RB, Ravens

If you haven't learned the lesson of 'Do not start Ravens running backs' yet, maybe it's time to. With J.K. Dobbins out for the year (again), Edwards left with a concussion and didn't return after 11 carries. It's unclear how the pecking order at RB will go if Edwards misses Week 4, as Justice Hill is also hurt.
