Fatal two-car crash forces lane closures on Atlantic City Expressway

Stormy weather was expected to affect the Monday morning commute in the region, but a fatal car crash has forced lane closures on the Atlantic City Expressway while police investigate.

The New Jersey State Police said the crash occurred around 5 a.m. near mile marker 3.6 on the westbound side in Pleasantville.

According to authorities, the crash involved a Honda and a bus. The driver of the car was pronounced dead.

The right lane of the highway has been closed as state troopers conduct an investigation. Delays should be expected.

Police did not provide additional details about the crash.
