The feds want to prevent chicken monger Johnny Wong, owner of J&B Poultry Market Inc. in South Philly, from selling his poultry.
In a civil filing, the U.S. alleges the chicken business at 1450 S. Seventh St. left chicken parts in the back of a pickup truck in 80-degree temperatures.
The U.S. Department of Agriculture says inspections found the improperly stored chicken.
The USDA also alleges chickens stored by Wong were misbranded, lacking safe handling instructions and other information required by law.
The feds are seeking a permanent injunction that would prevent J&B Poultry from further selling.
