The meal provided to attendees is simply prepared soup and bread, and each person takes home a ceramic bowl handmade by local community members as a symbol of thanks. Entry to the event is a tax-deductible donation, as the sponsorship and donation levels include complimentary tickets to the event.
The Kennett Food Cupboard provides food to more than 1,600 people each month. KACS also runs an Emergency Assistance Program for those overcoming unexpected life events and in need of financial assistance. The program's goal is to help dispel homelessness in the area.
