Get boozy at the Zoo with Summer Ale Festival

Breweries, food trucks gather for annual event

Lions, tigers and beer, oh my! The Philadelphia Zoo will host its annual Summer Ale Festival Saturday, July 25. Guests will be able to drink samples from craft breweries and munch on food from mobile vendors among the zoo's exotic creatures.

Admission includes nighttime access to the zoo, a souvenir glass, unlimited beer samples from regional brands, a live band, DJ and games. Participating breweries include Cape May Brewing Company, Chatty Monks, Elysian, Evil Genius, Neshaminy Creek, River Horse and Prism. Food vendors like Little Baby's Ice Cream, Mac Mart, Local 215 and Street Food Philly will have fare available for purchase.

VIP tickets, which include extra beer samples and complimentary snacks, are available in limited quantities for $90. Designated driver tickets are also available for $25 and include free soft drinks.
