Pa. Gaming Control Board sets hearing on SugarHouse license renewal

The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board announced Friday it will hold a July 9 hearing on a license renewal for the SugarHouse Casino in Philadelphia.

The hearing, scheduled for 10 a.m. in Room 115 A of the Pennsylvania Convention Center, will gather evidence, including public comment, on the renewal for HSP Gaming, LP, which operates the Fishtown casino.

Interested parties are invited to submit oral or written comment on the renewal and can sign up on the Gaming Control Board's website.

The deadline for registration to speak at this hearing is noon on July 7.

Written comments can be mailed, with a postmark no later than July 7 to:

Comments can also be faxed prior to that deadline to 717-265-7416 or e-mailed to boardclerk@pa.gov.

Pursuant to Section 1326 of the Pennsylvania Race Horse Development and Gaming Act, all licenses shall be subject to renewal every three years. The renewal application must include an update of the information since its last renewal.
