An iconic Jersey Shore restaurant and bar, Sandi Pointe Coastal Bistro in Somers Point, has closed due to financial hardship, Shore News Today reports.

Restaurant owner Dan Anderson told Shore News that the restaurant served its last meal on May 21. The building had formerly housed Mac’s Restaurant, Shore News reports.

Anderson and his wife, Sandi, had previously spent two decades at the Ram’s Head Inn in Galloway prior to opening Sandi Pointe in Somers Point, the city that borders the dry town of Ocean City, in August 2009, Shore News reports.
