Expressive modern dance company Koresh is bringing a world premiere performance to the Suzanne Roberts Theatre for a limited run. From March 26 through March 28 "Aftershock" will take the stage, ending with a special fashion-themed fundraiser, "Koresh Kouture: A High Fashion Performance, Silent Auction + Gala."

"Aftershock" tells the story of artistic director Ronen Koresh's emigration from Israel to the U.S. in the 1980s. The piece explores how Koresh's creativity and artistic identity were shaken up by the transition, and how he now views this culture shock.

On March 28 "Koresh Kouture," will include that day's performance of "Aftershock" and a post-show reception. Members of Philly's fashion elite like Joan Shepp, Bela Shehu, Victoria Wright, Jovan O’Connor and Terese Brown will dress the Koresh dancers in their designs for the event. Items scheduled for auction include decorative art, jewelry and a stay in Thailand.
