Lapstone & Hammer drops Divine Lorraine Hotel Collection

Lapstone & Hammer, the stylish sportswear and sneaker haven in Market East, is releasing its highly anticipated collaboration with Najeeb Sheikh, The Divine Lorraine Hotel Collection, this Friday. The newly opened storefront paired up with the local menswear brand for a series of items one might found at a swanky hotel, like plush robes, and extras one only wishes room service would deliver, like customized Chuck Taylors.

The collaboration features Levi's denim jackets emblazoned with line drawings of the famous facade ($100), lush towels with its logo embroidered in gold, comfy sweatshirts, baseball caps, retro-inspired sneaker cleaning kits ($30) and more. Those Chuck Taylors will come in high and low styles, in black and parchment, with "The Divine Lorraine Hotel" carefully placed on the tongue ($90-95). 

Of course, when all of this is made available to the public Friday at the opening reception, it will be released in very limited quantities that are sure to fly fast. While supplies last, each purchase will come with an old-fashioned hotel key ring, one of six styles bearing numbers like "215" and "007." In an apropos finishing touch, paper-based sculpture artist Drew Leshko will have his classic "Divine Lorraine Hotel" sign sculpture on display during the release.

Like Lapstone & Hammer's sneaker release days, where lines form out the door, this is sure to be a popular event. Though limited quantities of select items will be available online, be sure to head to the collection's release Friday if you want any chance of snagging one of those cozy robes.
