Late-night recap: Kimmel predicts Gov. Christie's future as bridge toll collector

President-elect Donald Trump on minds of all talk show hosts

For 18 months, Donald Trump's run for president has been fertile ground for television's late-night talk show hosts, and his victory in Tuesday's election likely will mean more of the same.

Wednesday night, in the first post-election episodes, Trump dominated the late-night monologues, again.

Of course there were jokes ...

"Well, that was a real grab in the p---y!" Seth Meyers exclaimed at the opening of his show, "Late Night." Minutes later he seemed to get choked up talking about his mother and her disappointment Hillary Clinton did not become the first woman elected president of the United States.

But some took a more somber tone.

Stephen Colbert, host of "The Late Show," showed disappointment in the election's results.

"This is what it feels like when America is made great again. ... I was really hoping it would feel better because this sucks!" Colbert said.

And Jimmy Kimmel on "Live" used his monologue to speculate what the future holds for the Trump campaign's major players, including New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie. Kimmel predicted he would become a toll booth operator at the George Washington Bridge.
