Longwood Gardens will begin its light show, A Longwood Christmas, on Thursday, Nov. 26. Inside of the Conservatory, more than 500,000 blue and white twinkling lights, whirling fountain features, thousands of seasonal plants, and decorated trees will be on display. Outside, an Italian-style theatre has been expanded from its original fountains to 750 jets, which create a water curtain for the fountain show. The Italian Water Garden will also be illuminated by a 20-foot tree. Tickets are required and guests will be asked to choose the time they wish to see the show.

Then on Tuesday, Dec. 1 a special performance titled "Tydings Trew A Medieval Christmas" by Lionheart is featured. The band will perform 15th and 16th-century carols. The show begins at 8 p.m. and is $38 for reserved seating and $32 for members.

Wednesday, Dec. 2 features a performance by the DePue Brothers. The band consists of four violinists who perform a combination of bluegrass and classical, with jazz, blues, and rock mixed in. They will be performing Christmas-inspired songs. The show begins at 8 p.m. and is $40 for reserved seating and $34 for members.

For any who visit A Longwood Christmas from Dec. 7 to Dec. 22, there will be various choirs and choruses performing at 7 p.m. and 8 p.m.
