A popular Chinese restaurant in Radnor Township that has received national recognition has been closed due to a roach infestation.

According to Main Line Media News, police were called by employees of the Yangming Restaurant, located at 1051 Conestoga Road, on Friday after an altercation with a customer.

A girl had reportedly sent back a dish after complaining, and when she was brought a new dish, she said there was a roach in it. When her parents refused the manager's offer of a gift certificate and free lunch, police were called and came to the restaurant where they found the bugs.

Philly.com reports that a health inspection on Tuesday officially closed the restaurant after responding health officials on Friday saw roaches crawling out of an electrical outlet. The restaurant will now have to pass another inspection before reopening.

Yangming Restaurant was named the best in the nation in the 2011 Top100 Chinese Restaurants awards, according to the Delaware County Times.
