Man fatally crushed by garbage bundle at Northeast Philly recycling facility

A 42-year-old man was fatally crushed by 2,000 pounds of garbage at a waste management site in Northeast Philadelphia on Tuesday morning.

According to 6abc.com, the incident occurred just before 8:30 a.m. at the Waste Management facility in the Holmesburg section of Northeast Philly.

There is no word on the identity of the victim or the cause of the incident at this time.

An investigation is underway.
