Mobster Anthony Nicodemo pleaded guilty Monday morning to third-degree murder, conspiracy and weapons charges in the trial of Gino DiPietro's killing in December 2012, according to bigtrial.net.

Under the terms of the plea deal, the reputed South Philly hitman was sentenced to a minimum of 25 years in prison, George Anastasia reported. The two years he served while awaiting trial will go toward his sentence. Brian McMonagle, Nicodemo's lawyer, declined to comment on the terms of the deal.

After the murder, a witness reported seeing a masked gunman jump into a Honda Pilot. Authorities tracked the license tag back to Nicodemo, who was subsequently arrested. The motive for the murder is unclear.
