The Holiday Garden Railway will open for the season on Nov. 25 at Morris Arboretum. The tiny trains and village peppered with miniature Philly landmarks will be decorated festively for the holiday. It has been a family-friendly favorite at the arboretum for years.

Grand opening activities, including crafts and carolers, are scheduled for Nov. 26 from 1-3 p.m.

The Holiday Garden Railway display will run daily from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. through Dec.31, except for Dec. 24-25. During regular hours, the Garden Railway is free with arboretum admission.

On Fridays, during the holiday season, there are also opportunities to view the railway lit up with twinkling lights. Friday Night Lights runs from 4:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. on Dec. 2, 9, 16, 23 and 30. Tickets are required.

Hot cocoa, coffee, apple fritters and other snacks will be offered during the evening events.
