Woman charged, another sought after Nicetown shooting

Police say the incident stemmed from an argument at a laundromat

A woman has been charged and another is being sought after a shooting incident followed an argument at a Nicetown laundromat around 5 p.m. Monday, 6abc Action News reports.

The ordeal started after four females, including a 33-year-old woman and a 13-year-old girl, allegedly got into a dispute with two women in their 20s at the laundromat at Fox Street and Roberts Avenue in the Nicetown section of the city, police tell NBC 10.

A confrontation ensued, and 33-year-old Lashanda Anderson allegedly shot one of the victims in both of her legs, 6abc reports. Police say the second victim then tried to drive away, but her vehicle was blocked, and a woman standing with Anderson started firing into the vehicle. The unidentified shooter fled the scene, 6abc reports.

One of the victims was grazed in the head and struck in the torso, and the other was struck in both legs, according to NBC 10. Both victims were taken to Temple University Hospital, where they are in stable condition, NBC 10 reports.

Anderson is charged with one count of attempted murder, four counts of aggravated assault, simple assault and related offenses.
