Nate Allen questioned, released by Florida police

Nate Allen was questioned by Fort Myers police, and released.

According to NBC-2 in Florida, Eagles safety Nate Allen was detained Monday afternoon in Fort Myers, Florida. Fort Myers police had the following statement, per the report:

"On Monday, February, 16, 2015 at approximately 5:00 p.m. the Fort Myers Police Department began investigating an incident involving Fort Myers native and NFL player Nate Allen. Allen was subsequently detained and the investigation remains ongoing at this hour."

Per a source, Allen was questioned and released.

Allen is a native of Ft. Myers and went to high school in nearby Cape Coral. Allen was drafted in the second round of the 2010 draft, and is set to become a free agent at the onset of the new league year in March for the second consecutive year. He re-signed with the Eagles on a one year deal last offseason, and started 15 games.
