A new exhibit, "Ocean City Surfing," makes its debut May 27 at the New Jersey beach town. The Ocean City Historical Museum will present an exhibit showcasing artifacts from Ocean City’s surf history at the town's community center.
Beginning with 1920s Ocean City surfer John Carey, the exhibit will take a look at the early days of east coast surfing. Various pictures and videos from past eras will be on display, including history from the 1960s Ocean City Surfing Association.

Surfboards on loan from Ocean City residents and shops will showcase the evolution of the surfboard and the sport.
With a sunny forecast for Memorial Day weekend predicted, most will probably spend their days outside. Luckily, the exhibit will be open through September for visitors looking for something to do on a less-than-perfect beach day.
The exhibit is open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Saturday, with extended hours on Thursdays until 7 p.m.
