New Grim Philly tour leads hunts for paranormal activity in Old City

For the first time, there will be family tours added on

Grim Philly is known for its "Vampires, Sex, Ghosts" tour through Old City. It's R-rated, educational and spooky. The edgy tour isn't the only Grim Philly experience available, though.

This year, two tours ("Séances" and "Ghost Hunting") will have family options. During "Séances," a medium joins guests and attempts to make contact with the dead. In "Ghost Hunting," local expert Laurie Hull-McCabe helps all ages hunt for the paranormal in Old City. Ghost hunting equipment will be provided.

A new Halloween tour is available, too. "Graveyards & Ghosts" highlights "the origin of the Halloween tradition, witchcraft, zombies, magick and all matters of undead antebellum folkloric Philadelphia traditions," according to a press release.

Minors will be allowed on the tour, with parental supervision and a warning that the tour can get pretty scary.

Other Grim Philly tours, many of which are available year-round, are for adults only. All tours take place in Old City and include educational and historical material.
