A local group by the name New South Philly GOP is hosting its own pre-inauguration gala on Saturday to celebrate President-elect Donald Trump’s pending move into the White House.

An invite for the event, posted on the group’s website and on Eventbrite, mockingly describes it as a "deplorable event" while comparing Trump’s White House win to that of Philadelphia's beloved fictional champion Rocky Balboa.
The New South Philly GOP pre-inauguration gala is scheduled for the evening of Saturday, Jan. 14, in advance of the Jan. 20 presidential inauguration.
