N.J. Catholic high school teacher accused of fondling student seeking extra credit

A teacher at Notre Dame High School in Somerset County, New Jersey, has been arrested and charged with engaging in criminal sexual contact with a student who was allegedly seeking extra credit in his class.

According to NBC10, the teacher, Edmund Harman, 26, allegedly “fondled the girl’s breasts, kissed the back of her neck and massaged her back and legs then told the student to send him naked photos of herself.”

The alleged incident occurred in February in a school classroom. The student reportedly went to see Harman before the start of school day seeking extra credit.

NBC10 reports Harman has been arrested and charged with three counts of child endangerment and one count of criminal sexual contact. His bail is set at $150,000. An investigation into the incident remains underway.
