N.J. red light cameras contributed to $150 million in fines

If you've ever been caught zooming through a red light in New Jersey in the last five years, you probably helped contribute to $150 million in fines.

Nj.com reported that the cash was collected from 73 intersections in 24 towns.

The controversial program was shut down on Dec. 16 — but not before nabbing $32.1 million in fines for 2014.

A variety of state programs were funded by the fines resulting from the cameras catching light runners.
