A streak of violence across the city of Philadelphia continued early Saturday morning with two separate shootings, leaving one dead and another injured, according to media reports.

The first incident occurred around 12:15 a.m. near the 2500 block of Millick Street in Southwest Philly. CBS3 reports an officer witnessed shots being fired from a car at a person standing in front of a home.

Two of suspects got out of the car and ran, while the driver crashed into several cars at 64th Street and Grays Avenue.

The driver was arrested and police are still searching for the other two suspects. The victim was taken to the hospital in stable condition, according to CBS.

Within the same hour, officers responded to a shooting on the 1500 block of N. 19th Street and found a man lying in the road and suffering from multiple gunshot wounds, 6ABC reports.

The unidentified victim was taken to Hahnemann University Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. No arrests have been made.

Crime data from the Philadelphia Police Department as of midnight Friday — which would not include either shooting — say 60 people have been murdered so far this year.

That's an 8 percent jump from this time in 2015 and the highest number on the same date since 2012.

On Wednesday, 10 people were shot in nine separate incidents across the city. Two of the victims died.
