The 2016 South Street Spring Festival is on its way.
South Street Headhouse District/for PhillyVoice

The South Street Spring Festival is headed to the South Street Headhouse District on May 7, and the full music lineup, featuring more than 40 bands, has been announced.

The fourth annual free outdoor festival and concert, which takes place over 12 blocks down South Street and in Headhouse Square, includes a mix of genres this year, from rock and funk to R&B and country. There will be three main stages at the giant festival plus seven additional performance spaces. Once again, the grass will be rolled out through Headhouse Square for lawn concerts during the day. PhillyVoice is a proud sponsor of the event.

As in years past, the festival is pay as you go for food and drink, with many free activities for attendees of all ages. Dozens of local restaurants and bars will be serving outdoors and South Street's many boutiques will have their wares up for sale. Brauhaus Schmitz will host their annual Germain Maifest during the Spring Festival at the 700 block of South Street and Atomic City Comics will host Free Comic Book day, too.
