Pa. man accused of killing, burying girlfriend in backyard

A Pennsylvania man has been accused of killing his girlfriend and burying her body in his backyard.

According to WPXI Pittsburgh, George Biegenwald, 57, of Shaler Township in Allegheny County, was arrested Saturday and charged with criminal homicide and abuse of a corpse in the death of Donna See, of McKeesport, also in Allegheny County.

The two had met online and been dating for about 10 months. According to Biegenwald’s testimony, he had told See he no longer wanted to be with her, which led to an alcohol-induced altercation and her subsequent death.

During the argument, See allegedly jumped on Biegenwald’s back and started hitting him with a back massager. Biegenwald said he flung See off of him and she hit her head on a dresser in the bedroom, according to the complaint obtained by WPXI.

Police told WPXI Biegenwald said he moved See’s body into her car and later into a refrigerator in his basement.

According to the complaint, Biegenwald said he buried See in his backyard after spending three days digging a grave. He then “poured bleach on the ground around her grave to keep the animals away,” the complaint stated.

In addition to criminal homicide and abuse of a corpse, Biegenwald is charged with tampering with evidence.
