The Philadelphia Police Department announced Saturday that an arrest has been made in connection to the murder of 21-year-old Ryan Kelly at the Samuels Playground in Port Richmond on Thanksgiving.

Police arrested 18-year-old David Ramos Jr. without incident in the Frankford section of the city and charged him with murder, robbery and related offenses, 6 ABC reports.

Kelly was fatally shot around 5 a.m. on Nov. 26 at the playground on the 3500 block of Almond Street in Port Richmond. According to police, Kelly was returning home from a trip to Wawa when he was approached by two men in a stolen Mazda 626.

The suspects fled the scene and Kelly, shot on his own street, was later pronounced dead at Temple University Hospital.

Police reviewed surveillance footage from a nearby TD Bank and observed two suspects attempting to withdraw funds from a debit card at the ATM. The two suspects were wanted for a string of other robberies committed on the same day.

The stolen Mazda was later recovered and police offered a $20,000 reward for information leading to an arrest and conviction. There was no immediate update on the status of the search for the second suspect.

Members of the Kelly family created a memorial fund for Ryan and have raised more than $11,000 since Thanksgiving. The fund remains open for donations.

"In his 21 years on this earth he left a lasting impression on everyone he met," the family wrote on their memorial page. "Ryan had a huge heart and love for life. Ryan loved to be with his family and friends. Ryan will be missed by all who met him. Donations will go to the Kelly family For funeral expenses. Let the memory of Ryan Kelly be a happy and loving one."
