A Philadelphia man with terminal, stage 4 colon cancer married the love of his life on Sunday thanks to the help of Wish Upon a Wedding's Philadelphia chapter.
According to their love story on Wish Upon a Wedding, Lonnie Brown and Karen Frager were married in front of friends and family at Top of the Tower at 17th and Arch streets.
The magical day took place nearly two years after Brown's fateful cancer diagnosis.
The two, who had known each other for 16 years, began dating in 2012 and were engaged that same year. Soon after, Brown was diagnosed with cancer.
Brown referred to their wedding celebration as "a moment with Karen and I that my sickness can’t take from us," adding that "being blessed to be married is the ultimate gift.”
