Philly attorney opens what he calls country's first LGBT divorce firm

A Philadelphia attorney has launched a new division of his firm that will be devoted entirely to divorce for same-sex couples.

Attorney J. Conor Corcoran said the new division is the country's first LGBT divorce firm.

Corcoran said that while he celebrated Friday's Supreme Court decision to uphold marriage equality across the nation, he also recognized the possibility that some of the "wedded bliss will end in acrimony."

Enter his new site, AdamVsSteve.com.

The site was named "in response to the homophobic taunts of the past when bigots would chant that God intended 'Adam and Eve, not Adam and Steve,'" the website says.

The law office of J. Conor Corcoran says on its website that it is “proud to be the first law firm in the U.S. to practice in the field of gay divorce, providing Private Client Domestic Services, 24/7 and coast to coast, regardless of your sexual orientation.”

In addition, Corcoran is offering specials for straight couples who want to divorce because they "believe the sanctity of their marriages have now been compromised."
