Philly flight makes emergency landing in Houston

All 52 passengers and four crew members safe

A flight from Philadelphia to Houston was forced to make an emergency landing Monday night after its landing gear didn’t deploy, CBS Philly reports.

American Airlines Flight 1825, operated by US Airways, left Philadelphia International Airport around 6 p.m. Monday and arrived at Houston’s George Bush Intercontinental Airport at around 10 p.m., when its landing gear malfunctioned, forcing an emergency nose-first landing.

All 52 passengers and four crew members reportedly got off the plane safely, and the airline told CBS Philly it's investigating what went wrong.
