Philly ties for fifth among best tech cities to move to in 2016: HuffPost

Philly Tech Week gathers the city's best for a week of events.

In a recent ranking by HuffPost Tech, Philadelphia tied for fifth with New York as one of the top cities that techies should consider moving to in 2016.

HuffPost notes the City of Brotherly Love's growing startup scene.

With rock star companies like RJMetricsDuckDuckGo, and Curalate. It's clear they're doing an incredible job at growing the tech scene. Look for a few more companies like Journey Sales and Scholly to have a big 2016 too!

Drexel University graduate Chris Gray, the inventor of scholarship app Schollycreated his mobile app to make the scholarship search easier for others and got $40,000 in investments from the TV show "Shark Tank."

Philly was beat out by San Jose, California; Austin, Texas; and San Francisco.

HuffPost also noted the city's proximity to the beach in one direction and the mountains in another. And, of course, it was sure to mention the beloved Philly cheesesteak.
