Police: Bucks County caregiver stole more than $56K from patient, 78

A Bucks County woman was arrested Tuesday for allegedly stealing tens of thousands of dollars from an elderly patient, authorities said.

Lisa Ann Lehmann-Waters, 47, was charged with six felonies following an investigation revealed that she stole $56,058.43 without authorization, according to the Warminster Township Police Department

Between March 2015 and April 2016, Lehmann-Waters worked as a home health aide providing care for a 78-year-old patient. During that time, she allegedly used the victim's debit card 62 times to make unauthorized withdrawals and overbilled for her services.

Police have charged Lehmann-Waters with theft by deception, receiving stolen property, unlawful use of computer, access device fraud, ID fraud and deceptive business practices.

She was arraigned and sent to Bucks County Correctional Facility on $30,000 bail.
